Just a solid selection for a fleeting pause in Calne with good value. The rump steak was excellent. Consider an upgrade for a more comfortable stay.

The evening food was a solid highlight, proper tasty with decent portions! Plus, the lively bar area gave a warm feel, perfect for unwinding. Tall and spacious room too, just what you want after a day exploring.
The room had some shabby edges with a tiny TV and the church clock kept ringing out every quarter. Poor lighting didn't help either, making it a bit of a struggle to unwind.

everything was lovely, the room was comfy and atmosphere was real nice. the staff were friendly and welcoming, making our stay feel special. its great value for money, especially since breakfast was included. we enjoyed being near the wedding venue, which made everything convenient. the decor has improved since our last visit which was 4 years ago.
however, the room smelled a bit musty and the shower was too hot to use. also, parking was limited and we had to park pretty far from the hotel.

The Lansdowne Strand had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The room felt clean and was well-equipped for a comfortable stay. I loved the complimentary tea and coffee amenities, along with the delicious biscuits. Breakfast included a good selection, although finding gluten-free options was a bit of a hunt. The room itself was spacious with a modern bathroom and a powerful shower. Unfortunately, I encountered a musty smell that needed addressing. the shower was too hot to use comfortably. Limited parking was another hassle, as I had to park pretty far from the hotel. Despite that, the friendly staff made the experience better.

Good selection of food at breakfast, enough for anyone not looking for a full cooked meal. The building has a certain character, blending elements of a local pub vibe with hotel accommodations.
Rooms could definitely use some upkeep. a few loose tiles in the shower and the plumbing's not ideal. Parking can be a gamble, with available spaces often being hit or miss, forcing you to wander down adjacent streets for a spot.

We had a memorable stay at this charming hotel, especially enjoyed the breakfast selection. The location is perfect with easy access to Bowood Golf & Country Club, which the kids loved! Traveling with our baby was a breeze here.
In my wife's opinion, the doors slam too loudly, disrupting sleep, especially for little ones.

The decor was really nice, and the staff at the front desk were super friendly—shoutout to Izzy! Dinner was fab, but breakfast was kinda meh. just a continental spread. Plus, if you're getting an attic room, watch your head! still had a fun night.

Charming Atmosphere with Room for Improvement
Enjoyed a relaxing stay in a spacious room, despite a few maintenance issues. The staff were accommodating, allowing an early check-in. The breakfast selection was limited but satisfactory. Pro tip, If you want a more substantial breakfast, consider ordering the cooked option for a better start to your day.

A warm welcome set the tone for a pleasant stay, complemented by the thoughtful provision of vegan milk. The room was comfortable, but the breakfast experience left much to be desired, with limited options and a long wait time. The decor and cleanliness of the bathroom were also below expectations, despite the lovely ambiance created by the sash windows.
